Ivor Freedman sees funding opportunities opening up for property developers

The UK needs to build 300,000 dwellings a year to plug a massive shortfall. In his article in Bridging & Commercial, Tom Belger asked Ivor Freedman of F&P for his thoughts on funding this surge in demand, particularly as Funding Circle have withdrawn from the property market.

As Ivor explained in the article, F&P Sponsors have had significant success with P2P funding in the property sector. One F&P client in particular is Beech Properties, which buys derelict city-centre properties in the North West and converts them to meet the needs of young professionals. It has recently completed its 22nd round of funding and has secured £7.5m in total to support its schemes. Such has been its success that it is now in the process of finishing off its eighth development.
